Joe Symes and The Loving Kind
Hailing from Liverpool, Joe Symes & The Loving Kind are a dynamic rock trio known for crafting memorable, widely appealing songs. Founded by Joe Symes and Colin White, with Alan Welsh on bass, the band quickly earned a reputation for sounding “like nine people on stage, not a mere three.”
Their music has been featured on the charity compilation Shoulder to Shoulder alongside Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene, Roger McGuinn, Noel Gallagher, and Robyn Hitchcock, drawing praise from Creation Records’ Alan McGee and fans internationally, including Hollywood actors Matthew Modine and Michael Keaton.
International radio play in the U.S., Canada, and Australia reinforced their global reach, but live performance remains their greatest strength. They have headlined Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds after-show, supported The Blockheads, Alt-J, Bloc Party, and Starsailor, and played venues and festivals across the UK.
